TM8 - Rubber Fire Retardant Transport Flooring

TM8 had been developed for areas with less stringent requirements in terms of fire safety standards, and comfortably complies with the British Standard (BS6853 Cat 1b) and the European classification EN45545 2 – (HL3). We would always advocate the use of the best safety materials available but we do but recognise that not all trains require such a high standard of fire safety.

TM8 still gives a very high performance in terms of fire safety and wear resistance and can equally be supplied in the many variants as with TM7. TM8 is also made in our UK factory.

The NSW Government ordered a fleet of 41 new eight-car Waratah Series 2 suburban trains as part of the More Trains, More Services program. The project was awarded to Downer EDI in Australia who commissioned CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles in China to manufacture the trains.

An example of a ‘co-vulcanised’ logo cut into the main flooring.

A specially designed step edging in a high vis colourway with anti-slip slats added and made from the same grade rubber as the main flooring.
