2 Part Epoxy Adhesives

Traditionally for rolling stock, TM7 and TM8 has been installed using our specially formulated No.15 Treadmaster 2-part epoxy adhesive. It have been tested both stand alone and as part of a flooring system to ensure it complies with all demanding requirements, in terms of fire safety and heavy usage. Treadmaster No.15 is our most compatible option and has been tried and tested over many years and many thousands of square meters proving to be highly reliable when installed correctly.

3m Pressure Sensitive Adhesive (PSA) tape

We recognise that use of a PSA tape is quickly becoming the standard installation method for many Train manufacturers. Benefits include quicker installation time and a much quicker and cleaner process to remove old flooring during refurbishments and repairs. In fact, many thousands of square meters of our TM7 and TM8 flooring has been installed using this method.

We have been applying a PSA to many of our rubber products for some years but have recently invested in new machinery to allow us to apply it to all of our flooring products. We are happy to work with the particular PSA specification required by our customer and mostly use the 3M™ Adhesive Transfer Tape 9775WL, which seems to be a standard requirement by train builders, certainly in Europe.
