TM-7 Rubber Fire Retardant Transport Flooring

TM7 is Treadmaster’s highest rated fire-retardant flooring and complies with the most demanding of fire safety standards, including the British Standard (BS6853 Cat 1a) and the European classification EN45545 2 – (HL3) as well as many other standards around the world. In fact, it was originally developed following the disastrous fire at London’s Kings Cross Tube Station in 1987 and the resulting search for safer products and so it was designed specifically with fire safety in mind.

Additionally, it has an extremely high level of wear resistance in high traffic areas and, due to its through-body construction, can be maintained to a high level of aesthetic for many years. We simply believe it to be the best train floor on the market today.

Made to order in our UK factory and specifically to our customers’ requirements, TM7 can be tailormade to suit most layouts or supplied as rolls for the customer to cut to size on site. Main variants and options are available to make the product perfect for the individual project including dimensions, colour and finish. Our Minimum order quantity is only 80 mts2, allowing for more than one bespoke colour way on a project, even a small one.

Project - Crossrail London

Expected to serve around 200 million people each year, the demand for anti-slip flooring is great on Crossrail’s Elizabeth Line. Working with Bombardier and TFL, Treadmaster Flooring have supplied 69 x 9 car train sets with TM-7 7120 and TM7 7121 which are 6mm in width with a speckled finish. The colours chosen reflect the interior of the Elizabeth Line and showcases our ability to provide personalised colour flooring that falls within RAL and NCS colours.

Routed light grey flooring panels have been positioned in side of every doorway on the train, adding extra grip for passengers on entry and exit.

In total, we have supplied rubber fire retardant flooring for 621 train carriages for this new Crossrail project in London.
